The future train might look a whole lot different then the train we are used to at the moment. The new Aero-Train, that could be seen at the IEEE International Conference on Robotics in Shanghai, doensn’t have wheels, but wings.This floating train is with a maximum speed of 200 km/hour not faster than the Bullettrain (almost 300 km/hour). But since the train hovers above the ground it benefits from a dramatic reduction in drag at higher speeds, and thus less energy is needed to maintain momentum.Currently researchers are testing the concept with smaller crafts:
