The San Mateo-Hayward Bridge (or San Mateo Bridge) is a bridge crossing California’s San Francisco Bay in the United States, connecting the San Francisco Peninsula with the East Bay. In particular, the bridge’s western end is in Foster City. The eastern end of the bridge is in Hayward. The bridge is owned by the state of California, and maintained by Caltrans, the state highway agency.
