A Filipino woman has given birth to a baby boy on an airplane.
Aida Alamillo had been given the all-clear from her doctor to board a flight from Manila in the Philippines to San Francisco when she went into labour, according to NBC Bay Area.
Three nurses and cabin crew helped deliver the baby, though his nationality has yet to be confirmed as the plane might have been flying over international waters at the time.
The Alamillo family were moving to America, having acquired visas, and had been planning for the baby to be born there so he would gain US citizenship.
The mother was eight days from her due date.
A spokesperson for the Centre for Immigration Studies told Fox: "If a child is born over open ocean, it is generally considered a citizen of the country the parent has legal citizenship in."
